This paper investigates James Finn Garner’s Politically Correct Bedtime Stories and the language style used. This study seeks to investigate and analyze the portrayal of political correctness, gender biases, and storytelling methods in the chosen bedtime stories of James Finn Garner. In particular, it aims to investigate the use of satire in addressing societal concerns through his works. The study employed a qualitative and descriptive method of content analysis to investigate the textual features of politically correct language. The results show that Garner uses political correctness in terms of an individual’s status, sex, or gender; tackles biases aimed at eliminating stereotyping; and uses politically correct language in character development and storytelling. The study shows that some terms discriminate based on gender, as well as the status of men and women. Politically correct language was applied by Garner in his translations, preventing biases such as sexism, lookism, and heightism. The satirical text of Graner showed that well-meaning language modification actually leads to the weakening of laughter and confusion, reflecting the never-ending debate in society about identity, respect, and language. English language instructors ought to encourage the use of politically correct language appropriately in their students’ discourse.
